Even though I teach Yoga and constantly teach my students to breathe properly, this little book has helped me immensley with my own proper breathing not just during Yoga but in my every day activities. I also have been able to better help my students with their breathing. This book would make a wonderful Christmas present!

Breathe Smart, by Arron Hoopes, is a little book with big benefits. It's about quality breathing and how important breath is to our health and well-being. The explanations of breathing and the simple exercises get you immediate results. For me, one of the side benefits to this was noticing how much I slumped while sitting or driving.

The simple and clear discussions and instructions make this a very quick and understandable read. Hoopes leads us from why to how and to the benefits. Included in the 2nd edition is a new chapter on Stress, Weight Loss & Breathing. I recommend this book to everyone.
This is a short book, and every page is packed with information. This is a really good book on how to learn to correctly breathe so you can improve your health, ability to focus, mental clarity, and a whole bunch of other benefits that all too many people miss out on because they breath incorrectly. The author explains how to breathe correctly as well as the benefits of breathing correctly in plain English, without a lot of jargon or foreign terms. This makes the book accessible for anyone, and it's one I'd recommend to anyone.

What I particularly liked is that the author explains in some detail how to do two types of breathing The type where you breathe in and your belly expands and the type where you deliberately pull you belly in when you breathe in and expand it when you exhale. He explains what the benefits of doing both types of breathing are and provides clear instructions for doing it. Overall an excellent book.
If you have a book or article that describes the Yoga Complete Breath, you have most of the content of this book.
Excellent guide to simple yet powerful practices.
If you just want to improve your breathing to a good basic level and want a "vanilla" reading, this is a good book. I finished it in less than a day and the real important tips can probably be sumarized in a couple of pages. For intermediate levels try "Power Breathing" by Sang Kim or to really go deep, try "Refining the Breath" by Doug Keller
This is not really a book - its a long article and that too not very long. Author spends half of the very short book talking about importance of breathing. I would have though liked some scientif references.

In short, this is good stuff but not worthy of being called a book. I don't regret paying $4 for this book but I do feel short-changed after reading the 'whole book' in 15-20 minutes.

Most of the informaton contained in the book can be found in public domain if you like searching the internet.
Money well spent.

Even if you do know how to breathe properly, this book will help to enforce your practice, add a new practice, and best of all aid you in incorporating your practice(s) into normal, daily life.

This is not a "program", but rather a simple, effective guide.

This book helped me to REMEMBER to breath correctly all the live-long day.

Not just when I exercise, not just when I'm stressed.
