It was just a party.
There were six of them, three guys and three girls enjoying the cool fall evening. Good friends, they had been drawn together in high school like pieces of steel to a magnet. Considered nerds by many in their school, all of them were near the top of their class and seemed destined for big things.
But something in the sky that night changed their lives forever!

Based on actual events...maybe...

The Abducted is a prequel to The Adventures of Gabriel Celtic series.

This is a fun quick read (will take you around half an hour) that starts off with a group of teens in their second last year of high school hanging out in one of their parent's backyard kicking around a soccer ball waiting for 9:30pm when the narrator notices a bright light hovering over the water tower. It disappears and the rest of his friends think nothing of it. All go inside as the parent had promised she was making something awesome to eat only to be scolded by that parent who wanted to know where they all went as the food was now ruined and she sent someone to go looking for them at 11pm. There's no way they were kicking the soccer ball around that long.

I liked the book, the narrator was a likable guy. You didn't really get to learn much about the others except May but only really because he had a crush on her. Still it was an interesting tale. It does wrap up events, even though the narrator has a series of other books he is in. I haven't read those and had no problems understanding this. You could choose to finish with this one and you've got closure with the story. I though did like the narrator character and will probably check out other books in the series down the track.

And the moral of the story We, as individuals, may set our goals; we have the power to accomplish those goals. Giving credit to, or relying on, anything less than our true value can be our downfall.
Page turning is what I like
Another short story about the adventures of young Gabriel Celtic. Now he is a teenager, but still has his sense of adventure, his common sense, and the desire to help his friends.
I kept thinking, "this sounds like a true account"....so easily written as if it was a past experience. Seems so honest. It was a fast read; one I was not able to put down until I finished it in one setting. =)
This is a story about a young man's realization that he has been abducted by aliens and implanted with a device which increased his mental falucties. The author has indicated it is based upon true events in his life. The book reads well. It is an entertaining read.
The title is what prompted me to read this very short story of about 32 pages.
The light in the sky above a water tank reached a soft spot for me. I could relate to the first part of the story.
An entertaining read for those who ever saw strange lights in the sky and for those who heard of them.
This book is a short YA story meant to be a prequel for a series I have not read. This makes no difference to me because I was hooked from the very first words in the book.

To me alien abduction is a fascinating subject, one that certainly would not be discussed among the masses but maybe in close friendship with someone. In this book, several close friends are just barely in high school and encounter a strange event that makes them not only lose time but gets them in a whole lot of trouble. It also gives them strange powers.

The premise of this story runs the gamut of well-known cheezy abduction stories to possibilities of something out there. The author even includes the characteristics of the aliens as long bodies, big heads, and large black eyes. Yes, I have heard that before but I had to smile when I read it.

I like how the author also weaved a budding romance and strong friendships that have lasted in the tests of time and abduction. What a way to have a friendship! He also introduced scientific studies that seemingly come out of the latest sci-fi movie. I love it!

This story is directed at young adults but I feel that adults would like it too. I did! It is a mere 40 pages and worth the read if nothing more than to put a smile on your face and wonder, "Are We Alone?"

Now I have to read the series. I give this 4 alien stars!
